FREE EXCERPT: Different Head Styles on a Poodle (Part 3 of 5-Part Series: German Mustache with a Poodle Topknot) - 51 minutes
We can’t wait for you to see how Judy Hudson changes the look of this Poodle. Judy Hudson is a world-class platform demonstrator for Oster. She’s taught thousands of groomers worldwide. When she is not traveling, she grooms everyday pets in her mobile grooming van outside Nashville, Tennessee. Asian mustache styles.
Judy shows you how to make big changes in the overall look of a dog. How? Simply by changing up the head style. As Judy says, “You can get away with a lot of errors on a dog but don’t mess up the head!” In this lesson, she shows you five different looks you can get with one dog simply by changing the head style.
There are many tools that can help you shape and style the head. In this demonstration, Judy uses primarily close clipper blades, scissors, blenders, and chunkers. Most of her shaping is done freehand using points of reference from the dog’s anatomy.
Judy shows multiple styles starting with a round head, an Asian style, and finally moving into more typical Poodle styling. Some of her creations have longer ears while others show you what the dog would look like with very short ears.
